description
WALL MOUNTING FOR A SHOWER WALL
The invention relates to an attachment for a shower cubicle, partition or wall with a compensation rail having a substantially rectangular cross-section, which come with one of its outer surfaces on a room wall or the like in Appendix and can be attached thereto, and a floor rail with in Substantial U-shaped cross-section, which is open to the compensation rail and can be pushed onto and into which the compensation rail and attached thereto.
Such attachment can be found not only in shower cubicles, enclosures and shower walls but also in shower partitions and other partitions used in the sanitary area, etc. application.
Conventional fasteners generally have a substantially U-shaped balance rail, which is secured to the base of the U-shape on a wall or the like, for example by tightening.
If in the context of the present application of a U-shape is mentioned, then this U-shape usually has a roughly flat planar base, which merges at its two side edges in each case in an approximately perpendicular thereto rising side legs.
The basis of such a U-shaped compensation rail can be configured as a continuous plate or by spaced strips, webs, etc. are formed.
If this compensation rail attached to your base to a wall or the like, then the two side legs extend approximately perpendicularly from the base and thus perpendicular to the wall away.
At this balance rail usually a floor rail is attached, which is also substantially U-shaped and has two arranged approximately perpendicular to the base of this U-shape side legs. This upright rail is pushed onto or into the compensation rail with the open side of the U-shape, so that the side legs of the compensation rail come to rest approximately parallel to the side legs of the upright rail. The adjacent side legs of the compensation rail and the floor rail are in this case closely adjacent or abut each other. The upright rail can be pushed onto the compensation rail, so that the outer wall of the side legs of the compensation rail of the inner wall of the side legs of the upright rail opposite and thus lie against each other. It is also possible that the upright rail is inserted into the compensation rail, so that the outer wall of the side legs of the upright rail of the inner wall of the side legs of the compensation rail are adjacent and thus lie against each other.
With the help of the compensation rail in cooperation with the upright rail, it is possible to compensate for wall unevenness and also a non-vertical orientation of a wall by the support rail is telescopically or continuously pushed onto or into the compensation rail according to the requirements that the upright rail is aligned exactly vertically. After the uprights profile rail has been brought into its desired position, it is screwed in the known attachment to the balance rail by means of at least one screw which extends through the two adjacent side legs and presses them together non-positively. For this purpose, the compensation rail is drilled with the upright profiled rail. Since the upright profile rail is not placed stationary at this time, it often shifts so that it does not assume the desired vertical position.
An improved attachment of the type mentioned is known from German Patent DE 4130549 C1, in which at least one side legs of the balance rail between a side leg and an approximately parallel inner leg the stayer profile rail is clamped. Also the "reverse" Embodiment thereof is known in which at least one side leg of the upright rail between a side legs and an approximately parallel inner leg of the balance rail is clamped.
The object of the present invention is to provide a fastening of the type mentioned, which is simple and in which the position of the upright rail with respect to the compensation rail can be chosen flexibly and also corrected later.
This object is achieved by the attachment according to the teaching of claim 1.
In the attachment according to the invention, the U-shaped upright rail is closed at an end face by a wall having at least one bore. In other words, the U-shaped channel formed by the upright rail is closed at one end by a wall. This wall has at least one bore.
The balance rail has at one end a cover wall having at least one longitudinal slot.
The balance rail may represent a rod with a rectangular cross section; In this case, the cover wall is formed by the end of the rod. The longitudinal slot extends into the rod material.
When the compensation rail can also be a solid profile and thus a square tube, which is closed at least at one end by the at least one longitudinal slot having cover wall. According to a preferred embodiment, the balancing rails has a substantially U-shaped cross-section and thus represents a U-profile; The cover wall in this preferred embodiment is an end wall. This preferred embodiment will be discussed in more detail below.
A kinematic reversal of the compensation rail and the floor rail is possible and thus includes the invention. In this kinematic reversal, the uprights profile rail may consist of a rod, a solid profile or a U-profile.
In any case, either the compensation rail in the upright rail or vice versa the upright rail must be inserted into the compensation rail. Also, a kinematic reversal with respect to the longitudinal slot and the bore can be made and is included according to the invention, so that the compensation rail has the bore and the upright rail the longitudinal slot.
Preferably, the compensation rail and the upright rail profile are designed such that the compensation rail can be inserted into the upright rail and the wall of the upright rail is inserted axially inserted from the cover wall with inserted compensation rail.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the compensating rail in the cover wall has two or more longitudinal slots extending in parallel, while the upright rail has a number of longitudinal slots corresponding number of holes through which each extend a fastener in the associated longitudinal slot in the balance rail can.
Due to the fact that one of the two rails has a bore, the fastener extending through this bore can occupy only one position with respect to the rail equipped with this bore. With respect to the other rail, which is provided with a longitudinal slot into which the fastening means can protrude and effect a fixed connection, the once selected position can be changed, in which the fastening means is released, the two rails are shifted from each other to better To create balance. Thereafter, the fastening means is then moved back into the longitudinal slot and fixed there. This fixation can be done in the usual way. According to a further preferred embodiment, the compensation rail in the cover wall has two or more longitudinal slots extending in parallel, while the upright rail has a number corresponding to the number of longitudinal slots (two or more) of Has holes through which a fastener can extend into the corresponding longitudinal slot in the balance rail. This longitudinal slot or these longitudinal slots in the cover wall extends or preferably extend approximately perpendicular to the outer surface, the compensation rail, which can come into contact with the room wall.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the compensation rail has a substantially U-shaped cross-section and thus represents a U-profile. It is also in the cover wall to an end wall. Thus, in this embodiment as well, the balance rail forms a U-shaped channel and can be easily attached to a wall or the like in which, for example, fastening screws are mounted so as to extend from the interior of the U-profile through the base of the U-shape extend through into the room wall and fix it there.
The attachment means, which can be used to connect balance bar with the upright rail, are arbitrary and known type. Preferably, such a fastener include a screw and in particular a threaded screw which cooperates with a threaded nut, or a sheet metal screw and a sheet-metal driving screw ,
The cover wall of the compensation rail and the end wall of the floor rail can be formed integrally with the associated rail. Preferably, however, the cover wall and the end wall are connectable to the associated rail, separate holding elements or holding parts made of plastic or a metal. These holding parts may for example be designed such that it is equipped with an extension or insert in the rails (in the interior thereof) is insertable, whereby a firm connection with the associated rail is made.
The upright rail can be designed such that it serves as a stop for a door of a shower enclosure. It may also be shaped and shaped such that a wall or side wall of a shower enclosure or shower wall can be attached to it. Preferably, however, the floor rail is part of the frame of a shower wall, a partition, a shower enclosure, a shower enclosure or the like.
A preferred embodiment of the attachment according to the invention is explained below with reference to the following, not to scale and sketchy figures. FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a shower enclosure for a corner shower equipped with a fixture according to the invention, and FIG. 2 is a detail view X of FIG. 2.
The shower enclosure 10 shown in FIG. 1 is placed on a rectangular shower tray, not shown. This shower tray is usually installed in the corner of a bath or the like and forms a corner shower with corner entry.
The shower enclosure 10 has two side walls 11, 12, each composed of a fixed side member 13, 14 and a laterally displaceable door member 15, 16 are constructed. This embodiment of a shower enclosure is conventional.
The shower enclosure 10 has at its left vertical side edge of the fixed side member 14, a fastening according to the invention 1, which has a compensation rail 2 and a upright rail 3.
In the compensation rail 2 and the floor rail 3 shown in detail in Fig. 2 are U-shaped extruded aluminum profiles, which are open to each other or show their open sides to each other. The compensation bar 2 is fastened in the usual way to a wall (not shown) or the like.
The compensation rail 2 is partially inserted into the upright rail 3 or protrudes into it.
The balance rail has at its upper end a cover wall 4, which is a separately formed from the balance rail 2, but so connected part and two parallel slots 5, extending from the base of the U-shape in the vicinity and along the extend to both margins.
The upper end of the pillar rail (3) is a wall 6, which is thus arranged on the end face of this pillar rail 3. This wall is a separate holding part, which is inserted into the upright rail 3 and connected thereto. In addition, this wall 6 is provided with an extension 7 which projects into the upper horizontal cross member 17 of the fixed side member 14 and is connected thereto. The uprights profile rail 3 almost together with the horizontal cross member 17 and the lower horizontal cross member shown in FIG. 1 and the vertical spar 18 a glass. The upright rail 3 thus represents a part of the frame of this fixed side member 14.
In the wall or the support member 6 of the pillar rail 3, two holes 8 are provided, through which each extend a screw 9 and can engage in the associated longitudinal slot 5.
The shower enclosure 10 is mounted, in which first the balance rail 2 is fixed to a wall or the like. Following this, the upright rail 3 is pushed onto the compensation rail 2 and aligned. In the aligned state, the screws 9 are screwed through the associated holes 8 in each case a longitudinal slot 5, whereby a firm connection between the compensation rail 2 and the floor rail 3 is achieved. If the position of the floor rail 3 must be readjusted, this connection can be accomplished by loosening the screws 9 and re-screwing the screws 9.
